About Me

I graduated from Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI with a Bachelor of Arts – English degree in the summer of 2014. That August, I accepted a staff writing position at the Daily Press, a newspaper operating in my hometown of Escanaba, MI. I went on to work there through September 2020 — a period of just over six years.

Though I wrote about all sorts of topics at the Daily Press — including local government, schools, area events, and more — one of my favorite things I worked on there was a series of business profiles. I’ve had the opportunity to tell the stories behind dozens of local businesses, covering everything from small-town grocery stores to pet casket manufacturers. (No, seriously! Look up “Hoegh Caskets” in Gladstone, MI.)

Today, I’m using my writing skills to help businesses get the word out about their products and services by creating polished, persuasive copy.
